Etsy Shop Anniversary & GIVEAWAY

As it turned out, my unplanned-brief-blogging-hiatus after coming back from a family holiday, turned into a looooong hiatus from most of the internet. Life decided to take over and my motivation decided to disappear into an abyss.
HOWEVER for the first time (in forever *starts singing*) the fact that I miss being in the blogosphere has motivated me to sit down and write this post.

YA Shot Blog Tour: Author Interview & GIVEAWAY with Michelle Harrison

Today I'm excited to be participating in the YA Shot 2016 Blog Tour!

(Taken from their website) If you didn't know...YA Shot is an author-run, author-led Young Adult and Middle Grade festival that raises the money and resources to run a year-long programme pairing libraries and schools for free author events to foster a love of reading, inspire a passion for writing, and encourage aspirations to careers in the Arts. We believe in equal access to books and opportunities for all – YA Shot brings UKYA and UKMG authors together to pursue that goal, supporting libraries and young people across the country. At present, we’re a not-for-profit organisation but we’re seeking to become a charity.
YA Shot is a one-day annual festival based in the centre of Uxbridge (London). The 2016 festival will take place on Saturday 22nd October 2016. Around 70 authors are involved in a programme of workshop, panel and ‘in conversation’ events (plus book-signing sessions) in the Uxbridge Civic Centre, Waterstone’s Uxbridge and Uxbridge Library. There is also a programme of fantastic blogging and vlogging workshops. YA Shot is run in partnership with Hillingdon Borough Libraries and Waterstone’s Uxbridge.

ARC Review: Three Dark Crowns (Three Dark Crowns #1) by Kendare Blake Synopsis:
Every generation on the island of Fennbirn, a set of triplets is born: three queens, all equal heirs to the crown and each possessor of a coveted magic. Mirabella is a fierce elemental, able to spark hungry flames or vicious storms at the snap of her fingers. Katharine is a poisoner, one who can ingest the deadliest poisons without so much as a stomachache. Arsinoe, a naturalist, is said to have the ability to bloom the reddest rose and control the fiercest of lions.

But becoming the Queen Crowned isn’t solely a matter of royal birth. Each sister has to fight for it. And it’s not just a game of win or lose…it’s life or death. The night the sisters turn sixteen, the battle begins. The last queen standing gets the crown.

If only it was that simple. Katharine is unable to tolerate the weakest poison, and Arsinoe, no matter how hard she tries, can’t make even a weed grow. The two queens have been shamefully faking their powers, taking care to keep each other, the island, and their powerful sister Mirabella none the wiser. But with alliances being formed, betrayals taking shape, and ruthless revenge haunting the queens’ every move, one thing is certain: the last queen standing might not be the strongest…but she may be the darkest.

August Wrap Up aka vacation recovery & renewed blogging motivation

I'm sure that I say this every month, but I honestly don't know where August went...

Writing aka I've started a new project
I've wanted to write a retelling for the longest time and now, I finally am! Even better, I'm doing so with my closest writer friend <3 We're still in the brainstorming/planning stages (who knew world building and magic systems could be so complicated?!) so I'm excited to see where it goes.

Holiday Hiatus Announcement !!

I'm writing this post, surrounded by clothes and books strewn around my room as I've been packing (in a very organised fashion obviously) for my holiday. Because exams are OVER and I'M GOING ON HOLIDAY!
For 3 weeks I will be abroad, soaking up the sun and lack of school. Almost immediately after is London Film and Comic Con with YALC.
